After more than 3 years and many meetings with community leaders, community councils, city, and civic leaders, the current site developers have decided that the most crucial need for housing in Park City is affordable housing in the form of for-rent product.

Highland Flats is proposing 410 units and 65+% open space.  A third of the units will be reserved for Park City workers making less than the area median income.  The scarcity of local housing for essential workers has reached crisis levels.  The dire need for affordable housing constitutes a compelling, countervailing public interest.
